ABOUT PROMENADE

Promenade Horsemanship Academy is a unique blend of natural horsemanship principals and classical dressage theory. We apply both disciplines in a manner that is easy for our students to understand and at the same time done in a manner that helps the horse.   Students are taught how to communicate with the horse both mentally and physically through the use of equine biomechanics. At Promenade our horses are considered partners not just tools.

KIM GIESEKE

While we are currently known as Promenade Horsemanship Academy (or Promenade Stable), we originally opened our stable as "Promenade Haflingers" with the intent to breed and raise Haflingers. When people would come to see our foals, they were so comfortable with our horses that they would ask about receiving riding lessons. With the interest, I decided to switch our focus to horsemanship instruction and horse training. With that change, we became Promenade Horsemanship Academy.

I teach horsemanship, horseback riding lessons, drill teams, and host summer camps. We also do horse training, boarding, and virtual competitions. My husband, Jerry, is a farrier who also offers driving lessons.

I enjoy helping people build a strong connection with their horse or educate beginners how horses should be treated and cared for. My favorite is to teach horse agility to show people how to be confident around horses as well as how one can build intricate communication with these animals through body language. I also have a passion for equine biomechanics, study of how the horse moves, and educating people on how they can help their horse stay in better balance for a more enjoyable riding experience.

Owning a horse business is a 24/7 obligation, often requiring my active presence with the horses and our students. If you reach out, please forgive any delays. For urgent matters, I am best reached via text message at 303-941-2037.
